I learnt about Desi Tri Coaching back in 2019, when I was preparing for Mt. Everest and one of my strongest athlete friend was using Shray’s guidance for Ironman triathlon.

Working with Shray has been a great learning experience and growth journey (which is just getting started, even after ~3 years). As an amateur athlete, I always had a lot of questions, trust issues, room for improvement, misinformation, highs and lows, and Shray’s coaching helped me strive not only in the death zone at places like Mt. Everest, but also helped me pull off a 70.3 distance triathlon.

Having a structured scientific training plan saves me a lot of time and money, because I can invest my energy and time in the most efficient way while also avoiding a lot of injuries (for e.g. I make more progress in 12 hour training weeks over 6 months than I did in 20 hour training weeks, having the extra bandwidth to balance other stuff in life or make more money). Coaching also helps having accountability and but one needs at have some level of self-discipline to make the most of it.

Being a motivational coach / professional mentor to many across fields and having worked with multiple coaches in life, I can assure that none of the good endurance coaches would give as much time or support, whereas DesiTri Coaching has surprisingly always responded in a few hours and offered me calls on very short notices, all while charging less than half of the median market prices for comparable services.

I don’t think I’d ever want to train or chase goals without a coach after realising the value, rather I’ll outsource the planning and focus on execution to become the better version of myself, every single day for the rest of my life and hope that this review helps
